Family Photo Album

On this page , i've some phenomenal photo collections of most of the members of my family ......... Some of the photographs are really rare like those of my dadu / matamaha Late Byomkesh Bhattacharya who passed away as early as at the age of 52 in the year of 1965 ........... He was one of the Pioneers of ISM, Dhanbad , one of its foremost professors & above all , the best architect behind the inventions of 2 mines near Michigan & Toronto for which he was called upon as Indian delegate ( Scientist cum surveyor-general ) in the prestigeous hundredth anniversary (Centenary) celebration of College of Mineral Industries , Pennsylvania State University at 1955 ........ For this invention , he was awarded the encomium of the most gifted Mineralogist among all the Scientists & Research-workers from several countries present in the auspicious occasion ....... On the following day , his name along with photograph appeared on the very first page of several most circulated U.S. Dailies.......The rarest incident , on the part of an Indian , happened when one of the most aristocratic & patrician Dailies of the U.S.A. , The Rolla Daily News put up his picture along with two columns highlighting his achievements plus his taking award from the then U.S. president Dwight D. Eisenhower in its v. first paper & that also in the first & foremost columns . Later on , before his premature death , he visited seven countries all totally & delivered his speeches & seminars in the International Conferences & Symposia in the U.K. , U.S.A. , Canada , Italy , France etc .

In this photo archive , i picked up four of those invaluable n priceless photographs of my dadu ( mom's father ) plus some collectons of my Upanayana ( Thread ceremony ) where my grandfather (thakurda) , late Gorachand Chakraborty , my thakuma were always present with me .............. & many more .
